The procession of the Virgen del Carmen de Los Boliches is one of the most beloved and multitudinous celebrations in Fuengirola. Every July 16, coinciding with the feast of the patron saint of sailors, thousands of neighbors and visitors accompany the image from the parish of Nuestra Señora del Carmen and Santa Fe in a route that unites religious devotion with the deep fishing roots of the neighborhood.

The image travels through the decorated streets of Los Boliches until it reaches the beach, where the most exciting moment of the day is lived. There, the Virgin is carried on the shoulders of sailors and devotees to enter the Mediterranean, accompanied by fishing and pleasure boats that pay tribute to her from the sea. The entrance of the patron saint into the water, illuminated by fireworks and surrounded by hundreds of people on the sand, offers one of the most spectacular and recognizable images of summer on the Costa del Sol.
